Pros: The lyrics were breath takingly witty and creative.

Pros: it came out b4 they hit it big so it has a sort of garage band sound to it (which is good)
Cons: some of the songs are sort of the same
I really loved this cd, and a lot of the songs on it. Along with dookie and american idiot this is definatly one of my favorite green day cds!! I especially like sort of raw sound to it, a definate must have for any green day/ punk rock fan!

Green Day had a cheap recording budget with this album but even with acheap recording budget they are still extremely good.

1039/Smoothed Out, I believe is one of Green Day's best albums. With Billie Joe Armstrong at the helm and in his creative first album...this is trully their best. A must buy among Green Day fan boys.

In this album you actually get to see them playing their instraments for more than 3 chords and it has good lyrics too.

this album mixes punk love with some faster songs. the eco in the background makes it sound even more punk, like a live punk show(even though it sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom).

All green Day albums deserve a 5!!
Its GREAT! just like Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning... but this is one of the very very best because its the first Green Day!

this is such a beautiful album! I cried the first time I heard 'At the Library' and 'Going to Pasalacqua' hehehe j/k
the songs are really written with a lot of emotion and this album is nearly a hour long!!! This is one of the best albums you can ever buy! I listen to it all the time and I think most people can relate to a lot of the songs on there! It has slow songs, it has fast songs, most imporantly they are all great songs!! the first green day cd is the greatest cd i will ever own. my favorite song is on there.. going to pasalacqua. it was totally awesome when they played that at warped tour 2000 in pontiac. green day is the coolest band ever. anyone who disagrees.. well, they disagree! =)

This is an album that not many people know about. There are lots of songs about love and the punk scene. Get this and hear what Green Day sounded like before they got so pessimistic. Don't get me wrong though, every Green Day album is a must have! They're the kewlest!
