.Hack//Sign is a marvel among anime series. Most people might call an anime "good" without being able to go into detail, but this is a truly rare exception. This is a wonderful anime with a truly unique concept. .Hack//Sign is about a young man, T...sukasa, who is trapped inside an online RPG and can't log out because he isn't accessing the game from a computer. In short, this fantasy world is his reality. He runs into several characters, who each in turn become enthralled in his mysterious origins. Who is Tsukasa, and why is he here?Getting past the plot, you have the animation and the music, which are both truly incredible. If you have the money to buy the special edition box set, by all means do so, because you not only get the first DVD (which contains 5 episodes!) but you also get the first soundtrack (among other things)! The music is very moving and dramatic, and I would label this soundtrack as the greatest soundtrack (including movies, video games, etc) of all time. The animation is likewise very moody and strangely beautiful...you, too, will no doubt enjoy the many beautiful backgrounds and action scenes alike. I would recommend this anime to almost anyone, to be honest, not just anime fans. Read more Less
