ordered many items from heartland,never had a problem.ive made at lease 25 purchases in the past year.i belive thay are a reputable company & recomend this company to all.i have also purchased numerous items from thair auction site (rock bottom auctions) i have saved a lot of money & willl continue to shop with them. j.e.m. montgomery al.

Terrible company, sells primarily junk and/or it will be by the time it gets to you all banged around and beat up, do not seem these days to care about its customers or how they feel or their needs, just call or e-mail their customer service department and get a s"t"upervisor to see for yourself. The regluar associates do, but the higher up you go, the less they seem to care about you and your money spent believe it or not. Most items are repaired items with issues still but are workable if you are okay with near-junk, thus the reason they can sell so low. But customer service is the pits when you call or write regarding pricing errors, using coupons or discounts - forget it, you are better off going somewhere else and paying more. Last attempt, (and I do mean it was a last attempt as we will never buy from them again), we attempted to use a discount coupon they "slyly" worded to get your attention but which actually suckers you into joining something and digging in deeper. They got our 500.00+ check, cashed it, and left us sitting around in summer heat waiting for a portable air cooler and television only to hold up our order for 32.03!! Thinking it is arriving anyday, we suffer it out only to receive a letter via mail two weeks later stating that we owe them 32.03 and that they are holding the order hostage until we pay - we remind you again that they had already cashed the check we sent for 500.00+!!!! We had a rebate coming for almost the amount we supposedly owed, plus we have purchased from them before and have a history with them. One of their associates called after business hours was ver apologetic and stated that we should or could get a "loyal customer discount", to specifically quote her, but she could not affect this and to call back next day to speak with a supervisor. We did and instead of them being taken care or or offered any type of discount or that rebate, we are rudely talked to and frustratedly canceled our order - this by a s"t"upervisor. We call the next day and are rudely told by a s"t"upervisor, "you did not read right....", "did you join the club, no you did not so you do not get the discount...". Needless to say we told them to "eat it" and asked for our money back, all 500.00+. If it is worth it to them to lose 500.00 + to gain about 7.00 which was the difference between our rebate and what we owed even if they did not give us any other considerations, it was worth it then to us to say "goodbye, cancel our order". They talk customer service and caring for business but some of their associates, (it seems the supervisors more so than the everyday working "Joes") seem to think they are the cat\'s meow. Better luck to you all as we will not even look at their catalogs again after this experience. ...

Product arrived ok but no instructions for putting it together or manual were included in the box. Several phone calls have been made with no results or satisfaction at all. We are very disappointed in this company and will not purchase from them again. What do you do with a box of metal with no idea how to put it together or use it? Thanks, Heartland America!

I found they had the best price for a Nav-Mat and first time puchase no shipping cost. There was a $2.99 service charge which I felt was a bargain since I did not have pay shipping compared to other merchants who sold the Nav-Mat. I read reveiws after my purchase and I got worried. However the transaction went smooth and the Nav-Mat came to me with no hassle and as described. I purchased a DECO massaging air bed but spoke with a service rep to get more information on the bed regarding batteries, a carrying-case, if it had to be plugged in, could it be used for camping. The operator knew very little about the product besides reading the caption on-line. I ordered it, reluctantly, and when I got it (fast shipment) it did not work, it did not have a carrying case, it had to be plugged in to use the massaging functions/remote (did not work) which can't be used when ...

Stated there was a mail-in rebate but turns out it is only a store credit against next order which must happen in a very short period of time. Customer service claimed I should have checked out the rebate site while ordering despite acknowledging I would not have had enough information to process the rebate.

After reading the many negative reviews, I was nervous. But I had no problems. The only thing was that the company said that they would e-mail me when the item was shipped. I never received the e-mail, but I did receive my package within a week after ordering.
