Utah company with great customer service, always willing to go out of their way to help. I am amazed that someone gave them 1 star, if that person has emailed them and not received any help I would say they have the wrong company. Only complaint: the girl that usually works the front counter in Utah is kind of scary and rude.

Customer service has been unhelpful and cannot tell me whether they have received my package or not, nor when I can expect the return to be processed. This has been a very frustrating experience.

I ordered some men's clothing that was discontinued at REI and received it the next day. It said 7-10 days since it was free shipping, but I was amazed that it was on my doorstep the next day. I will definitely use them again.

Returning an item is easy along with fast shipping and excellent customer service help. I am shocked at some of the comments people have made because I have encountered nothing but a great shopping experience. They are one of my favorite online stores with great prices and selection.

I purchased a kayak in august 2007. I used it maybe 5 times between then and today, 3/31/08. The neoprene hatch cover in the bow has an elastc problem and is very loose fitting. It wasnt noticed originally but a few spills later and it shows up by seeing water in the compartment. then an examination showed the problem. Backcountry was being helpful so it seemed and we were e-mailing back and forth. They told me they called perception and to hang tight until they hear back. weeks went by and no ...

Ordered a Patagonia MLC wheelie and a Kelty wheelie (about $40 cheaper than anywhere else) for an upcoming trip. Paid for the 3 day shipping and the bags arrived 2 days after the order was placed, not when the est delivery time was given, even better than could have hoped for. This is the 2nd time I have ordered from Bckty and would def use them again.

Not a good business and not worthy of your money. I ordered a pair of touring bindings (naxo nx11) through backcountry.com and I was sent the wrong item (targa ascent telemark bindings- not even close). If not, IE shipping problems or a return, customer service can't or won't help and if you press them to do something they get angry. The worst online ordering experience I have ever had.

Easy to navigate site, easy to place order. Pop-up chat with customer service can be quite helpful. Liked first experience so much I placed a second order soon after. And then placed a third order. Backcountry's sale prices are great. I always cross-reference their prices with their Amazon store and with both of them the shipping is free over $50. I have had to return items twice with them and both times the ease of returning the items was a breeze and I was promptly refunded. One return was because I discovered I look ridiculous in a bucket hat and the other was when the shoes didn't fit well. Neither of these were their fault, nevertheless they didn't hesitate to refund me. Great ...
