It has been 2 MONTHS! and I haven\'t received the first issue of the magazine. I called a number I found on their website and left messages, but to this day I got no response.

I ordered a subcription to American Girl Magazine on 1/8/08. The price was good and they said that a gift card would be sent out to notify my daughter about the gift. The gift card never arrived, I never received any info from Abbey (just PayPals notification that they had received my money.) At the end of February I tried to contact Abbey to ask about the order (they only tell you after the order is complete that it may take 6 to 8 weeks to begin delivery.) Found what I was looking for at a great price easily and quickly. ordered, order confirmed but no info on when subscription would start. received billing and first issue more than45 days after order.

I never recieved an official order confirmation. The excuse for not getting it was poor.I feel that 8 to 10 weeks to wait for a weekly published magazine is way out of line especially when the price is only a couple of dollars less than the order card in one of the magizines.

I had to request and email confirmation / receipt. One was not sent automatically. I thought this was strange. Also, the delivery of the first issue takes as long as 12 weeks - I also think there should be an easier way ot get the subscription moving more quickly.

So I am guessing that I will get a November issue. I gave them all 3s because thats fair for now. If I dont get my November issue I would give them a 1.

I was able to renew my subscription to Good Housekeeping magazine for the price that is usually only offered to new subscribers. By the time I received my next magazine the label showed that my subscription had been renewed. This was so easy and fast!

Abbey went well beyond the extra mile to find me after I inadvertantly transposed my phone number in a message late Sunday night. They researched a 4 month old transaction and contacted me via e-mail. They contacted me first thing Monday and solved the problem easily. Thank you.
