    I was looking for the best telescoping pole for my backpacking trips because my nice two piece rod always got caught in the pine trees while hiking. The Magna Majic Gold tele 25 is the best I've seen and my buddies want it. Also got the Balzer mini r...eel and an assortment lures.     I recently bought a fishing rod by German manufacturer Balzer. It was not my first experience with P&S Fishing, and every time I deal with that store I am real pleased.That time they could not make my initial "catalog order" in time, and I immediatel...y was informed about all my options (kind of usual: wait 6 weeks, cancel, replace). Always live available knowledgeable nice people, always helpful. Phone or email.After I made my decision, substitute order was sent in a second! I buy a lot from the internet, and that store is clearly as close to "ideal internet shopping experience" as it could possibly be. I will sure recommend it! Read more Less

    Better shipping options, UPS or Fedex are faster and may be my option even if shipping charge is alittle more.

    I had no issues dealing with this company. They shipped the products nearly as quickly as I ordered them. They are as good as it gets when it comes to processing an order.I ordered a 6' Balzer Alegra mini spin telescopic rod and a mini 515 reel. I am... more than happy with the quality of both. This is coming from an angler that owns several very expensive rods and reels.I was expecting the rod to be more on the light side of the action spectrum but to my surprise the rod is much more capable.IMO manufacturers should rate their rods for maximum pounds of drag in lieu of using maximum line rating. It really doesn’t matter what pound test of line you use on any one specific rod; it’s more important to know how much load (drag pressure) the rod can withstand. But anyhow, enough of that --- this rod will support a fair amount of load for being classified as a light action rod. I believe it is capable of absorbing the same amount of load as a medium action rod (edging on the heavier side of medium).This is a good “all-around” rod for the recreational angler. It’s fun to catch anything from bream to sheepshead. Just change the size of reel to match the catch. I will definitely be ordering more of these rods. The next best thing to the quality of the rod is the telescopic feature. It makes the rod extremely portable and easily stored. The reel is also excellent. It’s smooth, has a great drag and instant anti-reverse. It should provide years of trouble free use. All in all this is very good equipment at a very good price. Read more Less

    Have ordered at least four times from P&S Fishing and never had a problem. Seems the products get to me even faster than expected...every time.

    I ordered a telescopic rod and a spinning reel and did leave a note that if they had a better match of equipment in mind I would listen to their advice. As I'm not an angler,by that a very experienced fisherman I tend to listen. They mailed and said ...that the reel was slightly heavy for the rod and suggested a new model that had just become available.Several mails were sent to me offering personel service and professional guidence. After receiving their products I was truely impresses with the high quality of machinery and workmanship. Truely all merchchants are out their to sell.Some will sell you a product because they don' care, as long as you purchase. And some merchants will sell you a product and take the time. Make you feel that you want to do business with them because they feel thats it's not just the order thats important, but you as well. I will always deal with P&S as they have created a client. Sometime in march a 255mi kayak trip down the entire Swannee R. is planed. This will be the feild test for all of the equipment which has been purchased in preperation.
