    My dog is prone to UTIs and needs a special diet. Flint River Ranch has very high quality food, great customer service, good prices (free shipping!) and is made in the USA. Most importantly my dog loves this stuff. I have tried a few other brands and... while they also were high quality my dog hated them. She unfortunately loves people food or anything she thinks is people food and is a very picky dry kibble eater. This one makes her happy. Read more Less

    So far, my dogs are doing great on the Original formula. I just add warm water and a little fresh meat at feeding time, and they look and act fantastic. Actually, this food reminds me so much of the old Kennel Biscuit kibble that was fed to every ot...her show dog in the 70's - with great results! That is one thing I like about this food: It is Baked, not nuked then extruded like every other food out there. I also like the fact that it is made with clean, food-grade ingredients. I like it for what it does NOT have in it. I will not feed my dogs animal digest, by-products, gluten and grain by-products or chemicals such as BHT, i.e. Cancer in a Bag.... This food is simple and wholesome. WHOLE grain and meat. I like the fact that it is made by a small independent company, not one of the big corps that do not care. I like that they manufacture it themselves, and do not contract it out to an outside factory. I like the fact that is does not exceed 25% protein. Yes, I said that! While some dogs do great on higher protein, I have seen so many dogs over the years that look all shiny and beautiful on meat and hi protein diets - that suddenly go into liver and kidney failure by 8 or 9 years. I prefer to feed a lower protein food and add quality meat myself during trialing season as needed. So far this plan has paid off in dogs that generally live to a ripe old age, few vet bills, a very low cancer rate and No serious health problems. Genetics play a role, but food is such a critical element in health. And such food is getting so very hard to find. I like to use a kibble as a base, because I am not a veterinary nutritionist, or a chemist, and the balance and calcium/phosphorus proportions of a GOOD kibble work better for me than trying to make a balanced diet from scratch at home. A word about shipping. I wasn't thrilled about the idea, but it has worked out so well, I could get used to this. The food arrived 5 days after I ordered it, and it with shipping, the price was about what I was paying for other premuim brands anyway...I did not miss driving across town for the food I was buying. Okay, so that's why I'm using this food...I also noticed that this food has a wonderful fresh smell, much better than any other kibble I've used. The dogs also seem so much more contented and satisfied after eating, they just love to eat, but arent scrounging around like they do on other foods - amazing product! Read more Less

    Our 4 kitties love this food and they do very well on it. Have tried other foods but they do not compare to FRR. There are no shipping charges and the food is shipped out super fast and is fresh.
