Completely Screwed Up Order and Embarrassed Me

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 24, 2013 | 1 out of 1 found this 1-800-Flowers.com review helpful

Wow. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to do something nice for a couple of friends (one in WA, one in CA) and send each of them a token "Happy Administrative Professionals' Day" arrangement. I was a little dismayed to find a $15 shipping charge went ...with the $35 arrangement, but decided to spend the $100 anyway to improve the day for two friends. Then it became even more important to send the flowers to the friend in CA, because she was let go from her job. So I changed the CA delivery address from Work to Home. What happened? Somehow, they managed to address the CA home delivery with the name of the friend in WA, to send the CA office delivery, and not send any flowers to WA at all. I spent over a half hour on the phone trying to make corrections, and have yet to hear whether the WA delivery happened properly. Read more Less

    Wouldn't honor voucher value

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 22, 2013 | 2 out of 2 found this 1-800-Flowers.com review helpful

Ordered flowers last week from 1800flowers.The flowers were already wilting on arrival. That's was fine since I got a deal. I just let that go and decided that the flowers we have gotten from teleflora were much nicer and fresher. The next problem st...arted when I went to purchase again with a plum district voucher to get them used before the expiration date. Went to use the voucher and 1800flowers would not honor the value of the voucher, it has a expiration date of May 1, 2013. Today is April 22. The voucher value expires in 8 days. So basically 1800flowers has bad customer service and old flowers. If you need to order flowers for someone, use another company not 1800flowers. Read more Less

Failed to Deliver - to a Funeral!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 2, 2013 | 2 out of 2 found this 1-800-Flowers.com review helpful

They COMPLETELY failed to deliver flowers I ordered for a co-worker's family funeral. I received an email confirming that they took my money, but that was the last I heard from them. Un-be-lievable! When I called to ask what had happened all I got wa...s "Sorry. You still want the order, right?" Uh, hell NO! NEVER use this failed firm! Read more Less

Just lost a potential customer based on these reviews alone!!

If you can't keep customers happy.. especially this large a number, I won't even bother. I even have a groupon offer but when it comes to sending nice flowers, price isn't always the concern. If they don't make it there, what's the point.

    didn't deliver to funeral

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 23, 2013 | 1 out of 1 found this 1-800-Flowers.com review helpful

I ordered flowers for a funeral in Germany with plenty of time and was told they would be delivered but they won't. The customer service said that the florists in Germany aren't associated with them but wouldn't explain why they could give assurances... when they weren't sure. Also, they didn't inform me that the flowers weren't delivered and I had to track this down, which was not on their web site. Finally, it seems that the company is still offering to send flowers to funerals in Germany even though they know that they can't assure delivery. Read more Less

    Buyer Beware

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 14, 2013 | 1 out of 1 found this 1-800-Flowers.com review helpful

If I could give a less than 1 star, I would. The false advertizing of same day service is misleading. The customer service is rude and disrespectful. There were no apologies. I wanted a special arrangement for my daughter-in-law at her office and the... effort was ruined. I cannot recommend this people. You will be disappointed and they will tie up your money with a slow refund. Read more Less

    Worse Delivery EVER!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 13, 2013 | 1 out of 1 found this 1-800-Flowers.com review helpful

Horrible! I was promised delivered by 08:00 AM for a funeral service and they even said that since it is from family member, they will arrive earliest, before any other flowers. Guess what? The driver arrived exactly 08:59 AM. I called 4 times during... that 1 hour of waiting and every time I got the same b.s. answer that the driver should arrive any minute/time. Meanwhile, the priest, camera crew and guests have arrived. What kind of promise is that? DO NOT make promise that you can't keep. This was my first and my last order form 1-800-flowers. Delivered Wrong Arrangement then Took it Back

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 30, 2013 | 2 out of 3 found this 1-800-Flowers.com review helpful

Outrageously delivered the incorrect sympathy bouquet. I didnt involve the recipient, but emailed 1800 Flowers about it. They offered to resend at no cost the next day. The next day, I was at work and they email and call, they cant send it by 5pm, . ...I tell them to deliver it to me after 5pm. Then they say they dont have the particular arrangement, I've gotta pick something else. I say forget it give me a refund...Fine whatever except, here's the punch in the guts, the florist goes back to recipient ( a sympathy gift remember),and took back the flowers at 2pm!!!! What?! When I call they say we can send another arrangement exactly as I ordered that I will have to pay for again. Unfukinbelivable!!!! Read more Less

    FUNERAL NIGHTMARE

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 25, 2013 | 2 out of 2 found this 1-800-Flowers.com review helpful

Ordered an expensive FUNERAL arrangement for a funeral 800 miles away. I did not request a same day delivery because they have a button that you can click that says Morning or Afternoon or Evening delivery. These delivery buttons make it look like yo...ur flowers will be delivered the next day in the time frame of the button that you click. I used the next day delivery date and picked Morning since the pull down menu let me. I placed my order. Got a tracking email that said the flowers were on the truck 9:20 am. So far so good, because the viewing was from 1-9. Kept checking the tracking all day and no entry. Didn't hear from them on tracking until 6:51 that evening. My flowers got there at approx 7:00 pm. Two hours before the viewing was over. I was furious. I called them and they said the flowers got there at 3:00. There is no 3:00 delivery posted in the tracking e-mail. Tracking says 6:51. 3:00 is still not acceptable. They said that clicking that Morning button doesn't guarantee that it will be a morning delivery. If I KNEW THAT then I would have PAID for same day delivery! I am not a cheap person. All over the site it says that everything is guaranteed!!! They said that the 6:51 on the tracking was when the delivery driver got back to the florist after all the deliveries had been made. In other words tracking is not in "real time". Then why have tracking??? But, they would look into it. No one called me back so I called again. She said that the Funeral Home only lets them deliver certain times of the day. REALLY??? That's the lie you come up with??? I called her on the bull so she said “I will call the Funeral Home” and she put me on hold. She came back and said that she found out what happened. She accused the Funeral Home of starting the viewing late. Instead of 1:00 she said they “admitted that they started it at 3:00“. So, she said that the “good news is that my flowers really did make it on time after all since they got there at 3:00”! Since they just told TWO huge lies now I question IF the flowers were sent at all. All I can do is wait for a thank you card from my Aunt to see if they made it at all. Next time I will Google a local florist in the city where the funeral is and read their ratings. NEVER, EVER, EVER again. Oh and where is that GUARANTEE that is pasted all over the website??? I want my money back so I can go elsewhere and have flowers delivered to the Widow’s home. What a HORRIBLE thing to do to a customer when there is a DEATH IN THE FAMILY. Read more Less
