I placed an order on Monday May 13th to have flowers delivered Wednesday May 15th to my mother for her birthday. Spoke with someone Tuesday to make sure the flowers were going to get delivered and before 3pm which is when she leaves. I was guaranteed... they will be there. I received a call Wednesday May 15th at 9:45am telling me I am sorry the flowers would not be delivered today. I could not believe my ears, i would never and i mean never order from this place again and or recommend any one. I orded flowers for my mother in law and paid almost $80.00 and they only sent 4 tiny roses. this is what i sent them.. I paid $75.05 for high quality flowers and my mother in law received low quality flowers. I purchased flowers for mothers day and i even paid extra for them to be shipped on time and not only did my mom not receive her flowers, but I got a confirmation of delivery notice to my email. I sent an email that I wanted a complete refund for my ...purchase and I was told I couldnt because there was confirmation of delivery. Next, I called customer service and had to argue with them for about an hour to get my money back, all because some delivery person probably didnt want to make the trip to my house so he/she marked the flowers as delivered. I purchased flowers and chocolate for my sister from 1-800-flowers for mother's day on the Thursday before Mother's day for a Saturday delivery. About 6 hours after I made the purchase, I remembered my sister was leaving for Spain for 2 weeks on Frid...ay (silly me, it was force of habit that I went online to buy her the Mother's Day gift). Immediately after I remembered, I went online and made a request to cancel my order because the "recipient will be out of the country for 2 weeks". I got an email back the next morning (Friday) that told me I could not cancel my order because "the order has already been processed or delivered to the recipient". What a load of sh**!! So I called 1-800-flowers on Friday and told them again that I wanted to cancel the order. The lady on the phone gave me the same stupid excuse, saying that the order has already been sent to the shipping company so it can't be canceled but she will make an "exception" for me...but that I would have to call back AFTER the delivery was made to cancel the order. I was obviously very confused at this point. I said "why do I have to call back again, AFTER the delivery has been made, AFTER a busy florist wastes her time to make another arrangement to call you on one of your busiest weekends of the year to ask you to cancel the order, when you can just cancel it now? I guess the lady could sense the irritation in my voice at that point because she then immediately agreed to cancel the order (why did I have to get angry before she would do it)? She then put me on hold for 3 minutes and came back on the phone and told me it was canceled and that my credit card would be credited in 3-5 business days. When I asked for the confirmation number she said "they do not have confirmation numbers" but that an email confirmation will be sent to me shortly. I thought that was the end of it, however, to my shock, I got an email the next day saying the flowers had been delivered and there was no sign of a cancellation email! I was EXTREMELY angry at this point because I knew this meant that there would be flowers and chocolate rotting on my sister's porch for 2 weeks in the Florida sun. So at this point, I had to waste my time AGAIN and call 1-800-flowers AGAIN. Lo and behold, the cancellation had not been completed the day before. What was that lady doing all that time when I was on hold? The person that I spoke to today then told me she was very sorry and put me on hold again to cancel the order. I also told her she needs to put a special request to have a person go to my sister's house to pick up the flowers. She agreed and said she would put in a special request. Honestly, this is the LAST time I will ever be shopping at 1-800-flowers and I will also be advising all of my friends and family to do the same. I am 600 miles from my hometown in Texas. With great ease I logged on to 1800Flowers and ordered my mother a beautiful arrangement and was informed that they would arrive at her home in Arlington by Sunday, but possible Saturday. Great news! I receiv...ed confirmation shortly afterwards. This afternoon (Saturday), I logged on to check the order and tracking data to see if the delivery was today. It noted that it was cancelled. I was sure this was a mistake. So I called customer service. That was a nightmare. The Reader's Digest version: I was told that they have delayed it. The representative was hard to understand, so I asked for a supervisor. No luck, he said that they did not want to talk with me. He then said that it would be delivered Monday. And later he said that they do not service the area at all and they would refund my money. I asked him if I understood him correctly, They do not service Dallas/Ft Worth. He said no. I truly find this hard to believe. Not to mention, this is a company that accepted money for a service that they could not complete. Amazing! Every time I ship something I can never track it from their website and it never shows up on time. They even charged by Credit Card twice on one order. One start is too much. I have learned my lesson and will not use them ever again.
Do not buy flowers from this company its a crock. my sister attempted to make a purchase using my credit card, order was unable to go through. one would assume that would be the end of the matter well they charged my account the 60$, not knowing this... i made another purchase from this b.s company, it did go through ( i had a 30$ coupon and there was suppose to be free shipping ) they told me i would be charged 14.99$ upon reviewing my credit card i was charged 28.99$. my sister called and asked why i was charged 60$ they told her they hold the money for 24 hours. 24 hours went by no money so she called back they then said 3-5 buisness days. i then called and they said they have no idea what im even talking about because there was no order placed...no duh there was no order placed it was cancelled. so i called to find out why i was chared 28$ instead of 14$ they gave me some b.s excuse and said the 14.99$ will be refunded to me in 24 hours well its been 24 hours and suprise suprise no money. i have been on the phone with them all day and i have fewer answers then before... Wow. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to do something nice for a couple of friends (one in WA, one in CA) and send each of them a token "Happy Administrative Professionals' Day" arrangement. I was a little dismayed to find a $15 shipping charge went ...with the $35 arrangement, but decided to spend the $100 anyway to improve the day for two friends. Then it became even more important to send the flowers to the friend in CA, because she was let go from her job. So I changed the CA delivery address from Work to Home. What happened? Somehow, they managed to address the CA home delivery with the name of the friend in WA, to send the CA office delivery, and not send any flowers to WA at all. I spent over a half hour on the phone trying to make corrections, and have yet to hear whether the WA delivery happened properly. Read more Less
