    Don't ever purchase or order any tools from this website if you think that you will return it. They will not cooperate to help the return process. I have ordered a furnace which I found out was the wrong type. On the same day I called the company bac...k to cancel it, they said the couldn't find my order because probably hasn't been processed yet. They want me to call them back the next day, at 8.00AM which I did. And they said "Sorry the order has been sent to the warehouse and there's no way to cancel it." They want me to refuse the delivery, but of course I have to pay the delivery fee and they only refunded the item price without the extended warranty that I have purchased concurrently with the item.     Bought a Hobart 140 Handler Welder from Northern Tool. When I ordered item a cart was included. I day later an Email came saying the cart was no longer available. They wanted me to buy a cart for additional money. I canceled the order.

    I own a construction company and have ordered from Northern Tools for years because the prices were right. Back in 2007 I ordered a 14" cut-off saw which only worked for 2 months. After calling them, they suggested I purchase another of the same sa...w at a special discounted rate, and I could keep the original saw for parts if needed. I, like a fool, did this, but the second saw only worked for about a month, and had the same issue as the first - The engine would run for about 5 minutes, then shut down and not restart. It seemed the engine was not getting gas. I, again, called customer service asking them where I could take the saw to get the issue taken care of. They stated they do not have a service dept., but if I were to let them know what part was neeed, they could send that to me. I am not a mechanic. I do not know what part is needed. This has been an ongoing issue, and in calling, once again, I was told that they could sell me another saw at a discounted rate. Sorry. This is not an option for me. I've already got two saws which do not work. I will not buy a third that probably will not work. I am done buying items for Northern Tool. And this from a customer that has spend thousands with the company - including owning 2 of their Nortrac bulldozers. Read more Less

    I ordered some items that were on sale at Northern Tools. One of the items was cancelled a few days after I made the order and I still have not received a refund. The others have just shipped (two weeks from my purchase date!) and will take another w...eek to arrive. Stay far away from this merchant...The prices look good but the trouble and risk aren't worth it. Read more Less

    If you think you may have to return an item, buy somewhere else. Their customer service dept is horrible. I still not have been reimbursed for an online item that I bought. They keep saying that they will get back to me, but... They also keep sen...ding me emails requesting the same info over and over. I have called in and they say everything is ok, but...     Easy to use website and really fast shipping. Got email confirmation that my order was taken and another one when it shipped with my tracking number. My tools actually showed up faster than their site said they would.

    Tractor broke down, called to get part, paid for overnight shipping was shipped wrong part but assured it would work. Technician was wrong, part did not work. Company was going to overnight correct part, sent it ground. Finally got the part 19 days ...after first attempt. Technician outright lied about shipping. The technician nor customer support would supply UPS tracking number, believe it was due to being told it was coming overnight and was actually sent ground. shipped out the 24th and received the 30th. Hopefully last part I will need to rely on this company for. Part received is used. Read more Less

    I ordered a YTH20K46 husqvarna lawn tractor through these people through Amazon and never heard anything about it. Finally after about 3 weeks I cancelled.     Placed one order with company. Liked Results. However, Be sure to order sale items right away. I waited one week and the price went from $66 to $99!
