It is rare that I come across a gadget that I desperately need, and this week is no different. However, the three gadgets featured here are certainly bound to improve the lives of many of you gadget freaks who always want the latest thing, especially if it's a bit different. Number one on the list — the Good Call iG1 - is something that no one truly needs, but I'm betting that a lot of you will still want it.
1. Good Call, Bro
The Good Call iG1 basically turns your Bluetooth enabled phone into a landline. This isn't a gadget you absolutely need, but when you get a look at it you may want it anyway. It's a pretty slick piece of tech with good build quality and a heavy, solid base. The iG1's core function is to enhance the cell phone call experience, by delivering the look and feel of a landline but some of its other benefits include the elimination of harmful cell phone radiation to the user; better ergonomics for comfort during calls and a smart design that will enhance your home's décor. I'm going to put mine in my home office. It seems like a perfect fit for this. My smart phone isn't terribly comfortable for lengthy calls and I don't always want to use a headset. Again, this is truly a luxury item in that it doesn't do much. But what it does is pretty cool.
The iG1 comes in black or white and is available as a standard unit for $79.99 through https://www.goodcallbro.com/store/ig/ig1/.
2. The Tailgater
Now for something a little different. The Tailgater Portable Satellite Antenna brings you television service wherever you are, whenever you need it. Just connect it to a compatible DISH receiver and you can watch TV in the parking lot of a big game or concert, on a camping trip, or picnicking by a stream (if that's how you like to picnic). You don't need to be a DISH customer to use the Tailgater. You do, however, need $499 to purchase the entire Tailgater system, including a receiver. The Tailgater has a pay-as-you-go plan, so you only pay for the months you use. You can stop your service after any month without penalty.
It comes with a fully automatic, portable satellite antenna and an HD solo receiver. It's easy to set up and automatically finds the right satellite for your DISH signal. You can buy The Tailgater through online retailers including Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, and Sears.com.

3. @TV Plus
Belkin's @TV Plus instantly downloads live and recorded TV from the home onto tablets and mobile devices. It's a lightweight device that allows you to watch live and recorded TV anywhere on the go, from the convenience of your tablet, smartphone, or laptop. The @TV Plus has an easy to use channel guide and is Wi-Fi enabled for easy set up. It's like you're in your own living room even if you're on the train home from work or waiting for your kids at the dentist.
@TV retails for $179.99 and can be found at http://www.belkin.com/us/G1V1000-Belkin/p/P-G1V1000
