Jerry Seinfeld's Bee Movie
You know what I like about animated movies? The star cameos. Featuring the voices of Sting, Ray Liotta, Oprah, and many other celebrities, the Bee Movie (now available on DVD) is no exception. Despite having scientific inaccuracies vehemently criticized by Bug Girl, this film should get you and your family giggling.

The World of Star Wars
Thirty years ago, a saga started (in mid-story that is) and ended with a final piece of the plot in 2005 with "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith", but we're still beggin' for more. Searching for the Next Elvira
When my best friend Amanda told me she was going to be a contestant on the new Fox Reality series "The Search for the Next Elvira" that airs on Saturday, October 13 at midnight, I could only think of her face on highway billboards, cardboard cutouts of her wearing an Elvira costume in a supermarket's beer aisle, and paparazzi hounding us in shopping malls. OK, maybe I just hoped for Amanda's dream of following in the footsteps of Halloween's bustiest babe would come true. Amanda isn't the only one with this odd dream. The Mistress of the Dark's black gothic costume and wig have been some of the best-selling women's Halloween items in the holiday's history.
Not only was Elvira the host of TV's first nationally syndicated horror-film show, but she also starred in several horror flicks that are perfect for watching on Halloween:

'The War' by Ken Burns
Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns captivates viewers with true, dramatic stories in this comprehensive PBS series, "The War." Examining one of the most catastrophic events the world's population has ever endured, World War II, it focuses on the U.S. perspective in seven parts.
As an avid WWII movie fan, I thought this TV series would tone down the realism of war casualties and devastation. I was wrong. Each episode reveals fascinating facts matched with incredible, historical footage of the American experience during times of inconceivable tribulation. This series describes wartime accounts through intense interviews with surviving veterans to heart-breaking letter excerpts written by soldiers to their loved ones at home.
I bow down to Burns for creating this unforgettable film -- now available on DVD with an optional companion book.
