American Apparel Cares
Do you care about who makes your clothes?
Popular clothier American Apparel thinks you should. As a self-described "sweatshop free" manufacturer, this company offers fair wages (an average of $12/hr) and benefits -- including free massages -- to their garment-making employees.
So the next time you need some casual, cotton clothes, pick from what American Apparel offers. And feel good knowing that what you wear is not a product of sweatshop labor.

Assorted Attention on Adidas
We're seeing a whole lot of Shopping searches for Adidas this month. And they're not just general searches for the German sports apparel brand. There's a slew of searches on specific vintage sneakers -- the same ones that inspire dedications from music artists and amateur videographers.
Adidas Superstars - originally found fame in the '70s on the feet of NBA players. Subject of a Run DMC rap. AKA: shells, shell toes. Modern versions include the Adidas Superstar 2G with Torsion system.
Adidas Gazelles - initially marketed as track trainers, now considered casual shoes. Reissues come in many colors.
In addition to classic Adidas footwear, these new Adidas items take a fair share of search popularity:
Predator Absolute TRX HG - torridly colored, deluxe soccer cleats with PowerPulse exchangeable sockliner and Traxion grip.
Adidas Adrenaline - a series of affordable perfume, cologne, and personal-care gift sets.posted by Arnold Chao | 09.1.09 7:58am | Add a Comment (1) | Permanent Link -

Paul Frank Fashion Flourishes
Back in 1995, sewing-savvy artist Paul Frank Sunich teamed up with two entrepreneurs in California to pave an unconventional road to fashion stardom with a brand that bubbled up into our top Shopping searches this month: Paul Frank.
Paul Frank Industries -- whose fandom includes a wide range of teenagers, rock musicians, and Hollywood stars -- features eccentric cartoon characters, including Julius and Skurvy, as its brand icons.
But in 2005 when Sunich separated from the company he cofounded, the enterprise continued on without him. Now with over 20 stores worldwide, Paul Frank Industries still maintains a strong following with new apparel collections and a hip line of eyewear.
