Your pressing style issues addressed by Lucky Magazine's always insightful experts.
Q:What's the secret to tying shoes with ankle wraps? Mine either slip down, cut off circulation, or require frequent re-wrapping.
A:Rather than wrapping your entire calf, crisscross the straps a couple of times just above your ankle. This look is chicer. When you begin wrapping, bend your foot slightly toward you; this will give you enough slack to walk comfortably, but not so much that your straps fall. Then double-knot the bow. If your shoes have ribbon wraps, know that they require a fair amount of texture to grasp your leg. If they're too smooth, replace them inexpensively with a less slippery grosgrain from your local fabric store. Hollywould makes the perfect ballerina flat with ribbon wraps that everyone at Lucky is obsessed withthey're buttery leather and come in dozens of colors. Wear them with everythingjeans, capris, flirty full skirts, you name it.
