Fall dressing for men is all about the next level and taking risks. If you want to play ultra-conservative, save that for your retirement portfolio. If you want to have a little fun and look like the most confident guy on the block, play with your wardrobe.

Forever Fashionable: The Double-Breasted Sport Coat

The board-room look is anything but boring this fall, thanks to the end of strict dressing rules for men. Or maybe it's a return to the late 1990s. Either way, the double-breasted jacket is back in the front of men's closets. Choose a jacket in a color that you love, from deep blue to gray. Pair this fall's hottest accessory with a pair of jeans and a plain t-shirt.

Savoring the Details: Socks

Because fall's pants are both straight and in heavier fabric, cuffing the bottom slightly is recommended. With those narrow cuffs, be sure you have a pair of dress socks that don't mess up your fall style mojo. Wear Florsheim Bamboo Olive Argyle Socks in subdued colors or choose socks with some texture or a subtle design.

Instamatic Pink

Take a look at the dusty pink color appearing in digital images using retro software. Or look back at Polaroids from the '60s and '70s. That's the pink of fall 2011 to emulate. The Men's USA French Cuff Dress Shirt in pink is one example, as is the Charles Tyrwhitt Arbroath Blue and Pink Stripe Shirt and Tie.

Thirsty No More: Embrace the Color of Camel

Upgrade any man's wardrobe for fall 2011 with a camel jacket. For the city man about town nothing says "Cary Grant" more than the Men's USA Luxurious Camel-Bronz Cashmere & Wool Overcoat. The warm color also works as a sports coat, like the Men's 2-Button Lamb Wool Cashmere Camel Sport Coat. For a more subtle touch of the hue, opt for the Ostrich Pattern Camel Yellow Bonded Leather Belt.

Tie It All Together

Accessorize with the hottest pattern of the fall by wearing a tartan tie. Call it tartan, call it plaid, but whatever you do, don't miss the opportunity to update your favorite oxford shirt with a flattering pattern of colors. Go graphic with the Tie Bar's Black and White Brady Plaid Tie (paired with the retro pink shirt from above). Or embrace the sultry with a Barbara Blank Printed Silk Plaid Tie.
