Worked great and then it didn't

Pros: Cleans well, efficient

Cons: Bearings went after four years

This machine looked great, had lots of features, a decent price, was energy and water efficient so I bought it in Oct 2008. It did do a great job of cleaning and we loved the top loading without an agitator. After 3 years of use by a couple-- not a f...amily of 10--it refused to start. Repairman was able to fix with some new parts, but he told us that he could tell that the bearings were going and that when they did, we'd have to buy a new machine. Well it is now one year later and it is dead. As these months have gone by, it got louder and louder until it sounded like there was an airplane in the laundry room! I bought into the old Maytag repairman hype but never again! A washer should last longer than this!, Read more Less
