We bought it from Lowes and they are not honoring the warranty, It has broken down for the second time, first time the motor shook apart, Now it almost caught fire.
Never again will I buy from this company. What a lemon.
Whoever decided on the "lid lock" feature should be fired. You can not simply open the lid and remove/put in items or fabric softener whenever you want. You have to hit a pause button which makes you wait for the washer to stop spinning(a very length...y time). If for some reason you decide to change cycles, say from heavy to delicates once you began a cycle, this cannot be done. The washer must first drain completely and then start over. Another inconvenience is if you started a cycle, left the lid over as the water fills up to go grab more clothes and you take too long the water will all drain and you have to start over! I do not recommend this washer., biggest inconvenience ever Read more Less
I have hated this machine since I started using it! it is a dud! Not a bargain! It is poor quality all the way around. It does not clean clothes the way Maytag used to. RUN to purchase something else, but DO NOT PURCHASE THIS! I bought it Black Frida...y and thought I was getting a deal (our home had burned and I had to have a new set). I HATE IT! I will never buy a Maytag again! I had rather use a laundry mat than use my this! Please do not buy, you will regret it! Read more Less
The Maytag Centennial commercial technology Washer Model MVWC300VW
I bought it in the first week of July this year .
For the time I ve had the washer zero problems, been good removing stains and has been great so far , for the low price .
I don't know how many people know, but Maytag is now owned by Whirlpool. After the 'Neptune debacle" basically bankrupted Maytag, they're now being built under the same name, but again, owned by Whirlpool. What this washer lacks in features, it makes... up for in clean clothes. As a single firefighter who doesn't really have the opportunity to put it through a battery of torture tests, I WILL say I've washed sheets, comforters, towels bathroom rugs and, of course, clothing. It has cleaned everything I've asked it to and done it quietly. One other thing... This sucker is HEAVY! It feels like the tank you used to hear the old Maytag washers referred to as! I have no complaints and many clean clothes! Read more Less
I was so hopeful this would be the washer for me. I don't like front loaders, and reviews seemed positive. If you need to wash comforters, or really dirty clothes...don't bother. You can pack minimal loads at best. My comforters are actually light w...eight, not heavy. I should be able to put this in and a few towels also! I can't even leave the house if I have a load in, for fear this washing machine will start banging because it's off balance. I also put in a light 'dog' comforter with a pair of muddy shoes, and when the load was done...huge chucks of mud on top of the load. I would never buy this washing machine again. I'm so bummed I wasted my money. Don't mean to be negative, but this washing machine is a big '0'. Katie Read more Less
