    Pros: Rather comprehensive database

Cons: Can tell you "You have arrived" before you're actually there.

I have an '04 Avalanche and it fits perfectly replacing the stock radio. It appears to have a comprehensive data base as it has easily navigated backwood roads in Flagstaff and even shows roads on military bases when other portable units running side... by side with it do not. Couple downsides are it can almost freezed up when navigation is engaged and you are switching back and forth from radio touch screen and the navigation map screen in a road dense area like in the city. Also, the safety features that do not let you put in address on the go or do specific point of interest searches without having the emergency brake on can hinder you finding locations on the fly. It's sound quality is typical of Pioneer, it is good but not quite a Bose. Best bet is to buy one online for around $700 and have Circuit City or Best Buy install it rather then buy it from them directly. After tax, navi, install, and insurance, they kept $2250 of my money. You could probably do it for half the price after everything by ordering online. Ebay is a good place to start looking. Read more Less
