Best Value Upright
Pros: Great Suction, Tools Onboard, Filtration
Cons: A Bit Heavy but equal to others in same size
I compared this upright to Dyson, Hoover, Shark and Dirt Devil Upright units. It is very comparable to the Hoover upright in both power and versatility but won overall because of the length of the hose, almost 50 feet, the length of the cord, almost 40 feet, quiter operation and stronger beater bar. I guarantee this vacuum had equal or better suction to all other higher priced vacuums. The shark has a unique feature where it ocmes apart so it is a canister too, but fell over continuously when trying to use tools. The Eureka has great power, a good warranty and is serviceable anywhere. You can buy 4 of these to the price of a Dyson and it is HEPA filtered and even comes with an extra belt, just in case. I gave it 5 stars for full featured and does pretty much everything. It is a bit bulky to carry upstairs, but the long hose makes up for this and the suction is so powerful it powers the free stair brush easily. You can't go wrong.

first off , i'm not a paid spokesman. that being said, if you are looking to purchase a vacuum, you gotta buy this!! amazing, unbelievable, superb, only a few words i can think of to describe it. i could not believe the stuff we emptied out of the canister after we used it the first time!! and honestly the carpet wasnt that dirty, or so i thought. outstanding, what else can i say. eureka's claim is really true.

Pros: Easy to assemble; picks up all kinds of dirt, pet hairs, and floor grit
Cons: Find the RIGHT Sale Price; Cord not long enough, a little too much plastic, the on-off switch and releasing pedal are both too flimsy
Overall...for the value, this was a great buy. Many compare this unit to the Dyson...but I wouldn't go THAT far [even though they share similar a color]. It's less than half the price; and guess what...it's a vacuum cleaner! What it doesn't do is get under furniture like the canister models. But nonetheless, it works. Don't forget to empty the plastic container regularly...once the tank is full; it won't be as effective in doing its job. And that my friends is sucking up dirt!

Pros: Suction, adjustable heights, bang for the buck
Cons: 'gap' and brush tools are too small. Upholstry brush is adequate
We bought this after our hoover died. We live rural so a lot of dirt and sand gets carried in. When we first started using this vacuum, we had to empty the tank after every room, and we revacuumed each room twice. Suction and carpet conditioning is amazing. It looks like we have new carpets.

Pros: This vacuum cleaner pulls things out of my carpet that I really don't want to think about walking on.
Cons: The only downfall that I can find to this vacuum is that I have to empty the canister after every room I finish. If you can call that a downfall, then that is what it would be
I had a Dirt Devil for over 10 years and thought it was cleaning my carpets pretty good.... that is until it died and I purchased this vacuum and did my family room. Ok the room is about 15' x 18' and I did the entire room, I had to empty the canister twice before I was finished with the entire room. But I have gone back and vacuumed 5 days later and I was able to clean the whole room without emptying the canister in the middle. I have completely happy with my purchase.

Pros: It really does what it says it does "clean"
Cons: On burber you must vacuum in the correct direction of the pile.
Over 40 years of buy vacuums, this one really works well. It is simple to assemble, and easy to care for. I highly recommend this particular model.
