Casablanca Failed and they avoided warranty

Pros: Very Attractive Look, Promise of Lifetime Warranty

Cons: Unit Failed, Casablanca Avoided Warranty

We paid a premium amount for a Casablanca Stealth DC - 54"Model: C45G45B thinking it would be worth the money and naturally the promise of a lifetime warranty added a level of comfort and made it easier to pay such a high price for ceiling fan (Plus ...we liked the distinctive look as it was an attractive nickel finish fan). When the unit failed Casablanca danced around the warranty and said we would have to pay to get it fixed. They have a well-rehearsed ready-answer to avoid warranty claims and play defense when you need it. I have written this off as a loss and learned from it. I write this to save people similar frustration and avoid the trap of thinking it is a quality product with a good company backing. We bought cheaper fans for the other rooms in the house at the same time and these much cheaper units work like the day we bought them without any problems whatsoever.
