    Just replaced my 4 month old TomTom with a Garmin!

    Pros: lane assist, lifetime maps

    Cons: very slow and clunky to use, problems connecting

    This should have been a great unit. My old Garmin was really dated and I'd heard about TomTom so I spent a lot of money on this one. Lane assist and traffic features were pretty good, but the thing wouldn't stay connected to my phone from the beginni...ng. Right away we realized it was very slow to program an address into, hard to tell it to quit navigating to a destination or to change the destination. I've had it for four months and it stopped being able to connect to any computer (we tried three different ones, definitely NOT the computer's problem), then it wouldn't even connect to the satellite, making it completely useless. If I had liked the other features better I would have pursued trying to get it fixed, but instead I went out and replaced it with a GARMIN again, with lifetime maps and all the features I had hoped to use on the TomTom. Very happy with my Garmin!!! I will definitely never buy another TomTom. Read more Less
