Cons: Price, In-camera Storage, No infra-red on indoor cameras

I bought this system because I really didn't want to rip into my house to install a system, and because of my ex-wife and her lawyer's cop friend, I needed to get a system up and running ASAP, before they created any more problems for me. (Yes, I rea...lize that it is sad when you have to take video of the cops to protect yourself.... I've never even had a speeding ticket in my life!)Honestly, taking everything out of the packaging I think took longer than installing it. I put one camera in the window of my front door with the suction cup mount... works perfectly.The other, an outdoor, I put under an overhang on my house, overlooking my driveway, boat, garage door entrance, etc.Well, after only a few days, our not-so-friendly State Trooper came by again... and I got 12 and a half minutes of great video and sound of harrassment, and irrefutable evidence that my ex had filed false claims against me. THANK GOD! Crystal clear video and audio!!!Here's the bad:I mounted the outdoor camera right next to the exterior wall of my house so that it was almost completely hidden. The house is a light creamy colour, and that really messed with the night vision. I moved the camera, maybe a foot and a half out, and the problem was solved.If the power goes out, you're DOA. There is no battery backup available. OK, everything works for me... I'm not really concerned with theft. However; if theives take your cameras, you're done! One kinda fix for this is to set the command software on the review setting so that it instantly downloads the video... but then if they steal your computer, you're screwed. I'm not sure if the optional remote access service stores anything offsite, so this may be a fix to what I see as the biggest problem.I did have a problem with the software. They admitted it was a glitch that they were going to do an update for. Tech support is in Canada, so you actually get someone you can talk to instead of someone reading off a computer screen in Engrish. Problem was addressed and fixed immediately. Read more Less
