    My first SLR

    Pros: A ton of easy-to-use features, amazing picture quality, not as heavy as previous Nikon SLR models

    I don't have any other SLR models to compare this to since this is my first one.. but I will say that my pro photographer friends with Canon SLRs pretty much envy what I've got. The Guide feature on the camera has really helped me learn how to use th...e different settings. I really do suggest that you take a camera class or purchase a book about SLR cameras because you can't rely on the Guide alone. Don't forget to also purchase a tripod!!! I really do love this camera and can't wait to learn more about what it is capable of doing. The ratings on this camera are pretty great, according to Digital Camera magazine and a few others.     I bought this camera and the 55-200 lense and I could not be more satisfied. Proffesional pcitures by a novice.
