The compression rivets securely attach the high-impact handles to the full tang for superior balance and maneuverability. The come-apart kitchen shears feature bevel- and serrated-edge blades of high-carbon stainless-steel to cut apart chicken, snip herbs and cut parchment paper. Using the adjustable gripper teeth below the handles, this tool also opens jar lids and bottle caps. The handles on these shears pull apart to clean and sharpen blades. 13-slot hardwood block. In the dishwasher, your Wusthof knives may bang against other cutlery or pots and pans and knick the blades. Wipe the knives clean with a wet cloth and dishwashing detergent. Dry immediately. Dry from the back of each knife to the blade. No metal is completely stain-free. To prevent slight tarnishing, be sure to remove acidic foods (lemon, mustard, ketchup, etc.) from the blades after use.
