I had to have my vacuum cleaner brought in for repairs. When the serviceman told me that it would take upwards to two weeks I decided to buy a cheap vacuum just to keep a handle on things while my primary vacuum was at the shop. I found the Hoover Wind Tunnel for less then $100. Out of the box, it was ready to go within minutes.I was amazed how well this vacuum works. Its much lighter then my other vacuum however, it is considerably noisier . But I'll take that trade any day. Buying this vacuum is money well spent.

While our Hoover is 2 years old, it is a Windtunnel. Before purchasing this item, I did some research and bought it because it came highly recommended by Consumer Reports. One of the draws? Supposedly good for pet owners. Why it was highly recommended?I don't know. Both my husband & I are extremely dissatisfied with it as it: needs constant maintenance, has lousy pick-up, the extra attachments consistently come apart when using them, it's difficult to keep the hose unclogged, etc. I've been forced to go back to my very old Electrolux & am now considering buying another vac. Guaranteed it won't be a Hoover!

Had Hoover since dropping my unreliable Electrolux, and glad I did. While this was cheap it has been a durable vacuum, working on the floor carpets as well as the tile and extensive wood floors in my home. While I was worried when the Chinese company bought out he American company, reliability has been good on the Chinese built model. I would buy another as this unit is over two years gold with no issues at all cleaning a 3000 sq foot home.
