    Cheap Toy

    Pros: Cheap. Compact.

    Cons: Awful sound. Primitive controls.

    This thing is one of the worst ways you can spend $84.00 on eBay, and here is why:(1) The sound is terrible - at least when the onboard preamp is used. No highs, no bass, the rest is flat and muddy ... if there anything to compare it to, that would b...e a $29.99 mini-boombox. Note I did try it with a couple of good tube amps and decent Klipsch 94 speakers. (2) The stylus drops on the LP much faster than I'd ever seen before. I am not sure it's harming the record or the stylus, and I am not about to find out.(3) No strobo, no pitch adjustment, no counterweight, no anti-skating, no nothing. (4) No tonearm locking mechanism on the little post that tonearm rests uponThis thing is going back to the seller tomorrow. Read more Less
