    Pros: Lightweight, inexspensive, well designed, help guide featured, good quality of photo's

    Cons: high noise when above iso 800, lense zoom capability too short.

    Right.This camera is fantastic for it's price. The picture quality is superb and crisp, and the easy to use menu settings made a lot of sense. The camera is well designed, and appears to be a lot "smoother" than other DLSR's. The camera's lens is goo...d, and relatively low maintenance - however you will realise the restrictions of having only an 18-55 mm lens (supplied). That being said, the lens still allows a large range of zoom and focus, and for macro photography works very well indeed. The camera's features are plentiful, you can chose from black and white colouring, vivid, standard, landscape and more.This is a fantastic camera to buy should you be new to the world of DSLR photograhy, however in time a new lens will be needed.     Pros: inexpensive

    Cons: nothing really

    if compared with Canon EOS rebel XS and Nikon D3000, I would choose this A230 because this camera has almost the same features and its not expensive. Sony's product also has 2 slots of memory card. It has SD card and memorystick.
