Pros: cheap
Cons: not much robust flavor
If you insist on buying cheap coffee due to your budget, you should try other Arabica beans like Eight O'clock. The taste is much more robust and not the least bit bitter.
I think anyone who likes Folgers needs to try other brands especially brands considered gourmet. Once your pallet has tasted really good coffee, you will never go back to Folgers.
Pros: The Aroma and Flavor cannot be beat
Cons: There are no cons!!
I never used to like coffee of any kind, but once I tried Classic Roast by Folgers and loved it!! It is wonderful!! I have at least 2-3 cups every morning, and often a cup or two during the day or early evening. Thanks, Folgers!!
Pros: great taste
Cons: none
I have tried just about every brand of coffee out there, and this is one of my favorite brands
Pros: Tastes great, low cost
Cons: None
I prefer Folgers over any gourmet coffee or even freshly ground.
Pros: full body, great aroma, good wake me up
Cons: A little pricy
I am a black coffee drinker, and for my buck - The Best
Pros: sort of pleasant, not horrible
Cons: flat flavor, not complex, not robust, boring
This is a very uninteresting coffee. A true coffee appreciator will not like or be interested in this coffee. I don't know if the beans are arabica, but looking for a coffee with 100% arabica beans is by far the MOST IMPORTANT thing to do in choosing a coffee, whether you pay a lot for the coffee or not. The other reviewer is right, 8 O'Clock coffee is a good choice for a cheaper brand, although the original blend is NOT as good as the Columbian or French Roast varieties. Again, looking for "100% arabica beans" on the package is the most important thing you can do to find good coffee.
Pros: Um.....nothing
Cons: Terrible Aftertaste
If you want bottom-of-the-barrel canned coffee, you cannot best Folgers. Terrible aftertaste, and you better drink it right after brewing.
Five minutes later, the taste turns rancid.
This is swill, not coffee.
There are much better canned coffees, if you must drink such a beverage.
Try Melitta -- or even Maxwell House, which is superior to Folgers at the same price.
Pros: none
Cons: not worth any money!
Why buy Folgers when you can buy New Orleans Cofffee that makes the perfect cup every time; and the best part is, it is very affordable!
Pros: Readily available, relative smooth
Cons: Bitter and causes upset stomachs often, sour.
Folgers must use an additive in the form of a preservative of some kind. How else can a product create a consistent reaction in the form of a sour stomach? You are correct, I have no proof and only opinion. But taste wise this coffee is middle of the road at best, a giant in mass production, and freshness along with consistency are easily challenged regarding a widely distributed product like this. Sour because of wide spread reaction that is all too common among "real" coffee drinkers.
Pros: none
Cons: too many to name. biggest=TASTELESS
costs too much and is tasteless
