Pros: Things are kept cold.

Cons: The ice dispenser dispenses ice all over the floor. The vegetable drawers stick and get caught on the humidity controls.

I remodeled my home and purchased a brand new Kitchenaid refrigerator as well as an oven, microwave and dishwasher. My remodel was delayed and I didn't get to use the appliances for many months after the purchase date, during which time my warranty w...as becoming dated. Once I finally started using the refrigerator I noticed problems. I finally got so annoyed I wrote my first letter of complaint about an appliance. I complained that my Kitchenaid Architect series KBFS20EVMS refrigerator ice maker spit ice cubes all over the floor. I also complained that the two vegetable drawers that were advertised as working smoothly, jammed all the time and get stuck on the humidity controls.The person on the phone told me that her ice cube dispenser did the same, but it was OK because her dog liked the ice cubes and licked them up. She made an appointment for a certified technician to come out. He tried to dispense ice into a glass several times and the ice ended up all over the floor. He tried to work the drawers but thay stuck. He said that there was nothing wrong with my refrigerator, it was just made poorly. He said I could put some grease on the drawers to make them slide better. I don't have a dog and I don't want to put grease in my refrigerator. Since they said there was nothing wrong I had to pay for the service call. Kitchenaid ads should have to say the drawers glide easily if you grease them and get a dog or the ice cubes. I spoke with customer service and they were useless. They offered to send a second certified repairman at my expense. I unfortunately purchased multiple kitchenaid appliances at my designer's reccommendation. Never again. I get upset every time I use the ice maker or the vegetable drawers. There shoddy refrigerator however is well complimented by their shoddy customer service. Read more Less
