Pros: easy to use
Cons: Nearly lost a finger
This little tool works great and with ease but is also just as easy to get hurt by it. The button is large and smooth to the base so it doesn't stand out. As i was removing some cream cheese from behind the blades my hand slid over the button turning... it on while my finger was still inside. 9 stitches and one less finger nail....ouch, extremely painful. Pros: Works ok
Cons: Poor design makes it hazardous.
I have to agree with Sabrina on this. I didn't get nine stitches but only because we were in a rural area in our RV when the blender ate my finger. It was on New Years day and there were no emergency services available and by the time I got to medica...l care it was too late for stitches (they need to be done within about 6 hours). My wounds were cleaned out and stapled together. It was so raggedy that I'm not sure that stitching would have been a viable option even if I had reached medical care more quickly.Mine happened the same way. In fact, I commented to my husband how dangerous the on switch is and that it should take more pressure or be placed where it can't accidentally be turned or have a safety switch like many garden tools (a switch that has to be pressed simultaneously with the power switch). Also, it is not clear which is the power switch and which is the eject switch for the shaft/blade part so that could also lead to injury if one accidentally pressed the wrong one when trying to remove the blade part. I recommend that if you really want to use it, place it into the container you're blending before you plug it in, and do not remove it from the container until you have unplugged it. While it is a useful applicance, it's so dangerous that I'm giving it a 1 in almost all categories to call attention to the problem and discourage others from buying it. It's an accident waiting to happen. Read more Less
Pros: Easy to clean Up.
I have been looking for a hand blender for a few weeks. I was shopping around and this is a great bang for your buck. There are multiple attachments for chopping and blending (nuts, onions, garlic, salsa, etc). My main purpose was for making soups and... sauces. You unplug the device and the clean up is super easy. With any electronic device, you should always unplug before cleaning. Read more Less
Pros: great usage
i like this and have very good expirience
Pros: easy hand grip
Cons: poor quality
I had been using an old Braun stick blender that I loved but it needed to be replaced. The Cuisinart I purchased came with a bowl attachment -- what a waste of money. I used it fewer than 10 times and the plastic components that operated the blades w...ere completely stripped. Had to throw it out - $60 down the drain. Read more Less
