    Excellent choice!

I bought the unit because I wanted to use MP3 burned CD that I am using at work. This way I can have a lot music (like 6 conventional CDs on a single MP3 CD).My experience after two weeks:This is an excellent product. A very good sound quality. The p...ower going out to the speakers is more than enough for me. In addition there are alot of features in this unit. But the most impresing thing is that for the basic operations you need to use only two dials. You can locate them easily without looking down.Warning:I used DirectCD by EasyCD (ROXIO) to burn my MP3 CDs. These didnt work well even though they worked well on the work computer. The solution I used a conventional burning. The exact symptom was that each song was devide to mutiple tracks and the CD jumped between these tracks. The solution as stated above: Use a conventional burning software. After that everything works flowless including the incredible feature that it restarts from the same spot when you turn the player once again.I love:The sound,The fact I can play MP3s flowless. The two dials concept,The fancy display,The fact that the face fold doen when you have to put a CD in.The design and look of the unit.I hate:The fact that the sond name is displayed only at the beginning of the playing. But this is not that big deal. Read more Less

Car decks dont get much better then this

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 4, 2002 | 3 out of 3 found this Sony CDX-MP70 Car CD Player review helpful

I was drooling over this car deck for a couple months. It has all the features I was looking for but the $500 price keeped me from getting it. I found it on Yahoo! Shopping for around $300 with shipped so I had to get it. It plays MP3 as well as audi...o CDs and has inputs for XM or CD changers which is nice. Other nice qualities are the multiple color display and the sound quality is excellent. The display rotates between the radio station or MP3 file name to several graphical visualizations of the music playing. Thats what hooked me into buying it. The things I didnt like is to get the time you have to turn the music off. Dont know if its an option to turn the time on or not. Another thing which is confusing is the right dial selector. You need to read the manual to program in the channels and other features. Dont even try to figure it out. Its way overly complicated. Driving and playing with all the features is out of the question. At times I find myself staring at the visuals when I should be watching the road. :)Overall Im truely glad I got this deck. Im sure you wont be sorry if you get this puppy. Read more Less
