    short life and metal shavings

    Pros: great concept

    Cons: does not work for long

    I have had the smooth touch 76607 for less than a year and is now partially opening cans or not at all. It was great in the beginning and then went downhill to where it blew a fuse and will not fully open cans and shreds off very fine metal shavings ...in your food. Maybe this is just my unit, but I would reconsider purchasing due to risk of metal shavings in my food and skin. Read more Less

    Pros: Great concept

    Cons: Doesn't work for very long

    Had the can opener for less than three months and started getting shavings in my food; then it would not open the can at all. Hamilton Beach replaced it free of charge, but I am still havng the same problem witth the replacement. Don't waste your mon...ey on this item. Read more Less
