A real letdown from Nakamichi

Pros: Beautiful sound, sleek look, cool features

Cons: Cover opens and closes on its own like it's possessed

My husband bought this system for me for Christmas several years ago and I just fell in love with it. I love the sound and the look of this unit and the double alarm clocks, but I have really had a lot of problems with it. The cover would open and c...lose whenever it wanted to and now the cover's gear doesn't work right so instead of opening and closing it just makes all kinds of racket. Also the snooze alarm doesn't always work. I hit it and the alarm won't shut off with the snooze button so I have to turn the alarm completely off. I don't want to get rid of it because I really love the looks of it and the sound quality is amazing, but it's too expensive to replace. I definitely don't want to go back to a standard alarm clock. : For the money paid for this system, I expected much better craftsmanship and for it to last a whole heck of a lot longer.
