The Good: Brightness and Color Fidelity. I was very impressed by the brightness and color fidelity. I connected it along side an IBM P200 CRT monitor, to the secondary video input on my graphics card. The IBM looked pale, the colors seemed dull and t...he tone seemed a little off compared to the NEC. Jpeg images seemed to come to life. Pivot Screen. The screen can be pivoted to a portrait mode in conjunction with included software. This is great for viewing long web pages or large spreadsheets. The bracket connecting the screen to the base slides vertically in a sleeve to raise or lower the screen height. The screen also can be tilted to adjust the viewing angle. Input signal is digital and analog (NEC calls it Ambix) It supposedly is compatible with many digital standards, including DVI, DFP and P&D (with optional adapter). Small Footprint. The base is large enough to store the keyboard when not in use, and small enough not to hog up desk space. The Bad: Vertical Shadows on occasion. Sometimes when viewing pages or documents containing dark vertical lines, there are dark vertical shadows next to them. I have tried every on screen menu option to eliminate them but nothing has worked. It happens very rarely. High pitched squeal on power up. Every time I power down and power up the display, it makes a very high pitched squeal for 15-20 minutes. It goes away after sometime if display is left on.
