Well I am no great literature genius so this will be straight and to the point. Having started studying fine art I was looking for a camera that would just capture subject matter that could be easily converted at home on a pc, the requirements I was ...looking for was picture qauality or a large amount of pixels and to be robust and adaptable in its general abilities, I was not looking for a credit card that took photos but a camera to work with.To start with I found this camera easy to use and with out trouble when gathering the pictures back. I am still learning however the full value and use of this equipment with the large amount of filters and setting available. I can only say that this is a great tool to be learnig with as well as a very practicle working camera. Read more Less

After using the DC4800 for 4 months:Pros:- Good image when lighting conditoin is good.- Excellent & accurate color.- Good Kodak Ofoto site for photo reprint (Yes, old photo, not inkjet!)- Good control very similar to 35mm (Aperature prior access is v...ery easy)- Good battery life (>80 pics with flashes/fill in without using the back LCD monitor)- The only true wide angle 28mm digicam! good for travel. Usable 80mm too!- Good price- Good lookingCons:- Pretty gainy when lighting condition is poor. (ASA400 mode is not as good as moden 400 film)- Flash not too powerful- No auto pop-up flash (Same as SLR) but not idiot prove easy to use.- Rear panel easy to crack (Kodak has fixed the problem ? Kodak will fix under warranty) Read more Less
