    Better than i.POD

    Pros: Yeah the i.POD has been marketed better than the HI.MD from Sony, but that has nothing to do with the quality of sound, features, unlimited storage space and fast transfering ability that Sony has with their product.

    Cons: People say that the i.pod has games on it... woop de do. use your phone and play snake.

    I think the most important factors needed in portable audio is fantastic sound quality (ATRAC3+, which is more advanced than MP3), Durability and Decent battery life. May i say that you can never run out of starage space with this MiniDisk player. Ea...ch disk hold 1GB... 45 hrs of music. If you fill that up, go and buy another one. they are only AUS$10. People say "I dont want to carry around all the disks!" Can you honestly tell me where you are going to go where its going to take up 45hrs of listening time. You can fly around the whole world and not listen to the same song twice. Come on now. You can jump on these disks and they wont break which means you will NEVER lose your data. Drop an i.pod and you will probably lose all your music!!! The battery life of the HI.MD is over 20 hours. Beat that i.pod!! it only takes a single AA battery. None of this 8hr stuff and then having to recharge it for 3 hours like the i.POD. Think about it. Read more Less

    Pros: Lightweight, portable, amazing sound

    I originally planned on purchasing the iPod however I kept hearing from everyone how much trouble they caused if you didn't have an Apple computer, and by pure luck I came across the Sony MD. I was skeptical at first but this thing is amazing, it pla...ys 45 hours of music with amazing sound quality. It's lightweight, easy to use and sets up fairly easily. Also unlike the iPod, it has 25 hours of battery play instead of having an irreplaceable rechargeable battery which only plays for 8 hours and is easier on your budget. Read more Less
