    Cons: Not made to last long at all

    The train being all plastic is not necessarily bad. However, plastic gears???? Come on Lionel. Towing a normal load (only the cars that came with the set - no more) this train only lasted for one Christmas season. When it was deployed for its second ...holiday, the drive gears in the engine stripped out. Lionel confirmed that this engine is NOT REPAIRABLE. Dissapointing - especially for a set that costs over $200. Read more Less

    Bought this as a heirloom for my grandson. It is a very cool train with wonderful sounds and lighting. My grandson is soon to be two and too young to play with it on his own but he already knows how to control the train with the remote controller. I ...think its one of the most unique trains to date.
