I had to buy a new coffee maker on the spur of the moment after my Mr. Coffee maker, of 32 years, went to "coffee maker heaven" (RIP). I did no research before going to the store. There weren't very many models to choose from at the store that I wen...t to. Though I have only made two pots of coffee with mine so far, I feel like I made a pretty good choice. I chose this coffee maker because it has a thermal carafe, the size of the pot, it's programmable, and it's attractive looks. I think that the pot pours well, but you do pretty much have to tip it upside down to get the last drops out. Other reveiws I read elsewhere stated difficulty in programming, plastic odor and taste, and air bubbles in the water level viewer. I have not had any problem with any of these things at all.
