after years of buying coffee makers, this one really does what it says..coffee stays hot and fresg in thermal carafe for hours.

I've had 2 of these coffeemakers. They're the best I've ever had. They make delicious coffee very quickly and keep it sealed and hot for hours. I leave home at 7 a.m. every morning and don't return until after 5 p.m. I always enjoy the rest of the pot in the evenings. It's so nice to just brew and pour. I hope Cuisinart keeps making this model. My first one lasted for 4-5 years with no problems.

Cons: Needs a small internal battery to save clock settings when it is unplugged.
This is a great product that keeps the coffee fresh for hours and has a twelve cup capacity! The thermal pot really works well at sealing in the heat & freshness eliminating the old, scorched coffee of a traditional coffee pot sitting on a burner for extended periods of time. The only thing that would help is if you could unplug the coffe maker and not have to reset the clock each time.

I received this as a gift and my coffee didn't stay as hot as I would have liked. But, the real reason I dislike this product is the day after my warranty expired (1 year) the coffee maker died. I tried calling and they as much as said "oh well". They definitely know how long to make their warranty. Also--I did clean it every 3 months just to make sure it lasted a long time--guess I shouldn't have.

I bought two Cuisinart DTC-975BK coffee makers within two weeks of each other. One I used daily, the other was rarely used. The first died (did not brew) so I started using the second, only to have it too die the same death 1.5 months later. Sure sounds like planned obsolescence to me.

Pros: love almost everything about this coffeemaker
Cons: can't see clock well, needs to be lit up
I have had this coffeemaker in white for years, and loved it. Well water iron did cause it to clog quickly, so am looking for anther one just like it. Am so sad I can't find it in white. Not everyone wants black appliances in their kitchen. It would stick out and I just don't know if I can be happy with the black one. Will be thinking aobut it. Otherwise I would have already bought a white one days ago !

Pros: It's is quick yet brews the coffee at a perfect rate for taste. Keeps warm all day.
Cons: Have to keep top on just right or you have a mess. Could use a clock battery.
My first one lasted several years and I kept the carafe. I used a back up old fashion coffee maker for a year. When I got a gift certificate to Amazon, I knew exactly what I wanted. I looks nice in the kitchen, easy to clean, nice carafe to set out at parties, keeps coffee hot for hours and you dont have to worry about leaving the coffee maker on anymore. The lid screws on and it is sometimes hard to tell if it is on right so you have to check and recheck, otherwise it will overflow. That is the only drawback. Well worth the money.
