The elegant Sharp AQUOS LC-37D6U LCD TV easily enhances the decor of any family room, living room or den. With a true 16:9 aspect ratio, HDTV resolution of 1366 x 768, Sharp’s Emmy award-winning LCD TV technology and breathtaking color purity, it is the TV to carry you into the high definition future. The D6U Series employs Sharp’s proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT Panel, which provides high brightness (450 cd/m2), 4000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, and wide viewing angles (170° x 170°). Pros: Great HD picture, sound, & hook ups.

Cons: No front panel connections, Owners Manual.

I recently bought this unit from a mail order tech store. Needless to say I was excited when it came. I did my homework about HD before the purchase. Did a lot of internet research and went to a lot of stores. What I found out was that Sharp was one ...finest LCD TVs on the market. They did cost a little more but it was worht it. Sometimes you do get what you pay for! So right off I was impressed with the overall appearance of the TV. It looked well built. At first I connected the plain jane cable in the back as I did not have HD yet. Not good. After some difficulty getting the HD feed from my provider (another story) it was finally connected with a HD signal. WOW! The picture and sound are amazing. I was able to connect the TV thru the HDMI connection, which certainly helped. The color and clarity is something that must be seen to be appreciated. The remote is easily to use once you read a confusing manual. My other minor complaint is no front connections. I was used to my prior TV having them which came in handy for a dig camera. I would highly recommend this TV. Read more Less

    37" Sharp Aquos Review

By James  May 17, 2006 | 5 out of 5 found this Sharp Aquos LC-37D6U Television review helpful

Pros: Great picture, built in HD tuner, good sound quality

Cons: On/Off and volume buttons are located on top, no PIP

This TV was purchased for the bedroom. Attaching it to the wall was simple. Picture quality is excellent (DSS and DVD) and watching off air HDTV is great. The built in surround sound works pretty good but could be improved. It is a little dif...ficult to connect your video devices to the back of the TV once it is attached to the wall and you will need to relocate your power outlet if you attach the TV to wall (short power cord). I will most likely purchase this television for my office too. Read more Less
