    Free Mountain Lion upgrade?? Not!

    Pros: Like the laptop

    Cons: Apple didn't accept THEIR OWN receipt for the upgrade to Lion

    This is about Apple Computer. We own seven Apple devices, and we recently purchased our second MacBook. When we sent in our receipt to receive the Mountain Lion upgrade, we were told that the receipt did not have all the pertinent info for them to gi...ve us the upgrade. But it was THEIR receipt! We purchased the laptop THROUGH the Apple website! It seems to me that they need to make sure they send the correct receipt, one that will allow the loyal customer to get the upgrade. This smacks of greed to me. they want to erode consumer satisfaction for a lousy $20. I could just buy the upgrade for $20...but they said we could have it for free after buying a MacBook!
